Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Internal Auditor II is responsible for conducting audits and reviews as assigned under the Supervision of the Regional Audit Manager or higher level audit team leader. This position reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of controls, financial records, operations and is responsible for reporting findings to property management and Internal Audit management and conduct closing meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will set up new audits using audit software.
• Assists in training and guiding Internal Auditor I or other staff as assigned.
• Assists Internal Auditor III in audit closing meetings.
• Examines records of the Company to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws.
• Inspects accounting systems to determine their effectiveness and protective value.
• Analyzes data obtained for evidence of controls, duplication of effort, fraud, compliance with management’s established policies or procedures.
• Conducts SOX 404 and Title 31 assessments under direction of the Regional Internal Audit Manager.
• Conducts regulatory compliance audits required by the prevailing gaming jurisdiction.
• Documents work in standard work paper format.
• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations.
• Completes work within allotted time budgeted.
• Accurately tracks time.
• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to organize and maintain a filing system.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper attire, nametag and ID badge.
• Knowledge of accounting computer programs and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to configure and use audit software for audits.
• Ability to use data analytical techniques using Microsoft Software or analytic software.
• A four-year college degree in Accounting or a related business degree or equivalent experience in Internal Audit or accounting for a public filing company.
• A minimum of 1 years of experience in internal audit, accounting, and/or gaming experience required.
• CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA, or CMA preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Will require periodic travel between properties by car and/or plane.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive office.
• Ability to prioritize assigned duties with varying due dates and organizational impact.
• Ability to maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Performs majority of duties in well-ventilated, well-lighted, and temperature-controlled office environment.
• Must be able to lift and move at least a 50-pound box.
• Periodically works varying shifts such as nights or weekends to perform assigned duties.
• Follows department policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate with property management.
