Position Overview
Direct and mentor the regional Project Managers in the successful planning and profitable execution of events from concept development to final invoicing, while ensuring the utmost customer satisfaction with PSAV’s clients. Assist regional sales team with client meetings, presentations and determining event technical requirements to capture new business or to execute definite business. Act as regional point of contact for key strategic events. Implement key business strategies that drive operational consistency in event execution, optimize deployment of key production resources, and drive the technical development of PSAV team members. Lead regional deployment of production standards, technical training, and new products & services. This position will be based at the local Branch office and report directly to the RVP of Operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
Regional Leadership
Assign Project Managers (PM’s) and lead technicians to regional events and review large event sales proposals in advance of being sent to customers. Review Event Profitability Tool (EPT’s) to ensure profitability and focus on sub-rental reduction & labor optimization. Provide technical support, consultation and guidance to PMs, Sales Managers, regional operations teams and traveling divisions. Advise regional management on standard operating procedures (SOP), technical solutions, profit assumptions, technical resources, quality control, and problem solving. Utilize and mentor regional PSAV technicians on event execution and best practices to improve knowledge and experience in the market. Work with technical training team & labor managers to identify, train, and develop regional technician labor pool, and conduct local training sessions as required. Work with product management team and technology managers to successfully deploy new product solutions in the market. Act as regional subject matter expert for new technology and coordinate local training & deployment.
Support, sponsor and execute all company and divisional initiatives. Communicate goals and objectives to staff clearly and frequently. Manage employee performance, address employee concerns, and facilitate team development. Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image in accordance with the standards set forth in the PSAV Employee Guide.
Sales and Client Contact
Assist the regional sales team with client discovery meetings, develop PMs to assist the sales team, reconcile event costs and prepare final invoices. Must be knowledgeable in all new and existing PSAV equipment and service to successfully leverage event experiences and suggest creative and value-added audio visual services and technology and/or develop innovative solutions for each client. Supervise the creation of CAD documents and renderings that are accurate and convey the intent of technology. Review sales documents to confirm equipment and technical positions will meet client needs and that profit assumptions are attainable. Maintain focus on client needs by attending client meetings, creating and maintaining organized show files and responding to their questions or concerns.
Project Management & Resource Allocation
Work closely with regional Directors and Managers of Labor & Technology to prioritize regional event needs, show assignments, & the strategic deployment of PSAV teams and resources. Ensure we are prioritizing regional event resources according to technical complexity, strategic importance, and the best financial return to PSAV.
Directly project manage events as required by technical complexity or regional business levels. When required to directly project manage an event, prepare schedules to coordinate all crew, vendors and deliveries. Review equipment order entry into inventory tracking system; work with operations teams on any sub-rentals or equipment substitution. Generate drawings and contact venues to successfully project manage events. Inspect staged equipment prior to load out and delivery. Supervise and coordinate any required purchase orders, travel requirements or per diem requests for assigned crew members with Branch or Hotel Director. Communicate project scope, execution plan and individual responsibilities with crew. Designate crew leads and review all necessary information to ensure events are successful for clients and PSAV. Coordinate with client to receive authorized signatures and approvals for any on-site additions and changes. Complete final job cost analysis to compare with initial profit model. Assemble all paperwork in the job folder and submit for review with Director and Sales Manager.

Required Experience:
• High school diploma required, Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 5+ years of project management experience in Corporate Staging or Broadcast industry
• 8+ years of field experience in Corporate Staging or Broadcast industry
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Positive approach to teamwork, sales and problem solving
• Strong Client relationship skills
• Strong technical background

• Ability to multi-task
• MS Office experience required
• CAD knowledge and experience required
• Formal technical training desirable
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally
