Job Summary:
Plan, staff and manage the Supplier Product Quality Assurance (QA) group. Insure that Scientific Games (SG) Supplier products and services meet both customer and company requirements. Activities managed include New Product Introduction (NPI), supplier selection, supplier assessments, supplier performance, ongoing governance, metrics, improvement and First Article Inspection (FAI).
Essential Job Functions:
• Plan, organize and manage all Supply Chain Supplier Quality programs and activities involving NPI Quality, Issue Resolution Management, QMS and Process Compliance, Supplier Quality Governance, Supplier Capability Assessments, and ECN and Deviation processes
• Participate in supplier selection process and conduct supplier quality certification
• Insure that processes and procedures are in place for all activities and that procedures are followed
• Insure that data related to Supplier Product Quality are gathered, analyzed and reported to the appropriate parties, including SCAR submissions, monthly failure analyses, monthly Operations reviews, Supplier Quality status, Supplier Capability Assessments, etc.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Supplier QA methods and procedures used and undertake improvement projects to improve their effectiveness
• Work with Sourcing and Engineering to create and execute strategies to improve the quality of material received from our suppliers and in resolution of component issues
• Participate in root cause analyses of problems found and in developing countermeasures to remove the causes; insure that defined countermeasures are implemented and are effective
• Lead FAI/incoming inspection process as needed to ensure supplier’s product meet company’s specifications
• Lead and participate in Continuous Process Improvement and lean initiatives.
• Travel 10% to 25% of the year (domestic and/or international).
Position Requirements
Qualifications
• 5+ years supervisory or management experience
• 10 years’ experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience
• Experience in the Gaming industry
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• Lean Sigma Green or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Oracle, Business Intelligence (BI)
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
• Strong negotiations, problem solving, analytical skills, and financial acumen
• Strong coaching, program management , leadership skills, team oriented individual with ability to motivate others, particularly in a virtual environment
• Ability to communicate and interact with senior leadership, produce and deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences
• Must have sound supply chain knowledge to be able to influence and drive operational transformation
• Ability to manage multiple projects, map out and set objectives and priorities, anticipate problems and proactively work to resolve them
• Risk management skills with ability to mitigate effectively
• Demonstrated/practical application of Statistical methods, quality tools, and methodologies (DFx, SPC, APQP, FMEA, 8D, DOE, Poke Yoke, and Control Plans).
• Proficient with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, and high level skills working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Firsthand experience of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or TS 16949 audits (supplier audits preferred).
