BB II - Design

The BB II Design Technician will be responsible for the field survey, design, engineering, as-build and system components from the hub throughout the distribution network. Along with the calculation, design and project tracking for the FTTH engineering. Maintenance of company-wide mapping and design support that ensures the companies technical requirements and mapping standards are adhered to, thereby creating a cohesive network for Altice Technical Services through stream lining efficiency. .
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required and 18 months of experience as a BB I Design or equivalent.
• Technical training or equivalent experience
• Valid Driver's License within State if Employment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of MDU, aerial, underground and BA design and construction, including technical familiarity with CATV system plant components and home wiring.
• Knowledge of aerial, mdu, BA and underground construction procedures and specifications for cost estimating
• Knowledge of grounding and bonding specifications as necessary for design completeness
• Knowledge of WIFI design and placement coverage
• Knowledge of working smart and safely
• Proficiency in PC/Computer skills
• Ability to read maps (road and systems)
• Ability to operate and maintain vehicle
• Proficiency in the following products, but not limited to fiber cables, CATV nodes, line gear and passives
• Does related work as required.
Workweek may vary from a Monday to Friday, or Tuesday through Saturday and/or Sunday through Thursday schedule.
