Program Overview
Our search for the very best students pursuing the Master of Business Administration degree has evolved over time to meet the challenges of a changing media and technology landscape. First-year business school students have the opportunity to compete for the Comcast MBA Internship Program, an 11-week summer internship program located at Comcast Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. In this program you will be able to take ownership of business critical projects, present outcomes to senior leadership, and make a lasting impact while cultivating meaningful relationships.
Role Overview
Xfinity Home is the home security and automation business unit at Comcast Headquarters. The Xfinity Home Business Operations team is responsible for the strategy behind field technician operations, care/ repair, alarm operations, business analytics, systems and tools, back office operations, and process efficiency. This position will primarily work with the Care/ Repair function focused on reducing call-in rate and truck roll while improving the customer experience and net promoter score.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop strategies and programs to reduce overall customer repair call in rate and truck roll rate for Xfinity Home Business
• Develop and execute strategies to improve overall customer experience for the product ultimately resulting in improvement of net promoter score
• Deploy tactics that utilize automation, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning to improve customer facing touch points and Xfinity Home support tools to provide world class customer experience
• Evaluate and deploy customer care best practices from the contact center and customer experience improvement industry
Preferred Qualifications
• Currently pursuing MBA with intended graduation between December 2019 May 2020
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a dynamic environment (e.g. entrepreneur, consulting, military, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability translate numbers and analysis into key business insights
• Skilled at creating a structure around ambiguous business problems and translating strategy into projects, actions and execution plan
• Collaborative with ability to lead and work with cross functional teams
• Strong executive presentation skills
• Previous call center experience or operations experience preferred, but not required
• Fluency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Self-starter with ability to drive projects independently. Must have ability to manage time effectively and in an organized manner.
• Interest or experience in media, telecommunications & technology industries
• Ability to travel as needed
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
