Overview and Responsibilities
This position is an essential component of the implementation and operations of Paramount’s Content Security efforts across all areas of the studio. Responsibilities will include reviewing and conducting risk assessments of third party creative vendors, and partnering with other members of the Content Security team to perform internal risk assessments and policy development.
The environment is fast-paced, requires the individual to be able to work on simultaneous projects and initiatives at the same time across a variety of subject matters. The ideal candidate will have a track record of being able to successfully and independently operate in similar environments while quickly being able to understand new concepts (particularly those of a technical nature). A passion and drive to improve processes and protect valuable intellectual property is a must.
• Operate and maintain vendor management system for central storage of internal and external audit reports, questionnaires and supporting documentation
• Conduct and or/direct content security assessments of vendors and other partners that work on Paramount content by evaluating compliance around physical security, digital security, organizational security, and related processes
• Manage vendor assessment remediation projects and revalidation of security compliance
• Support all aspects of security assessments conducted by other members of the content security team
• Maintain a management system for content security’s policies to ensure they are up-to-date and published at set cadences
• Assist with risk assessments, workflow analysis, and staff interviews of internal departments to ensure content security policies and guidelines properly factor in customer and stakeholder workflows
• Support the process of evaluating policies/standards/guidelines/one-sheets
• Assist in the development of studio facing training and awareness materials
• Occasionally work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization
• Domestic and International Travel will be required
Basic Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience successfully managing content security in a television or theatrical environment would be preferred. Fewer than 4 years of content security experience should be supplemented with 6+ years or relevant post production, distribution, or technical operations roles in film and television OR media & entertainment management/IT consulting
• Experience in Post-Production, Technical Operations, Distribution, of Film and/or Television
• CISSP or CISM certification preferred at time of hiring or ability to achieve certification within 12 months of accepting the position
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Communication, or TV & Film or equivalent experience required
Additional Qualifications
• Experience auditing management systems, physical security, and digital security protocols at facilities
• Thorough knowledge and technical skills around current and developing content security technology, industry standards and regulations
• Comprehensive knowledge of feature film/tv production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
• Ability to communicate at a technical level with technical professionals, as well as communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical management
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and listening skills
• Must be solution-oriented, high energy and driven to succeed
• Action oriented with high standard for quality and performance
• Able to maintain awareness of trends and developments in the area of media security
• Able to learn and retain new skills as required supporting a continually changing technical environment
• Must be able to maintain the highest level of discretion with sensitive, compartmentalized data
