JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a System Administrator for our Broadcast & Media Technology group to join the Fox News family. As the System Administrator, you will help design and troubleshoot Digital Newsroom applications from the Fox News NY headquarters. You will be part of a 10+ member team supporting DC, NY and AWS cloud-based resources.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with planning, deployment and testing of a Media Asset Management (MAM) system in NY
• Evaluate and integrate AWS components for S3/Glacier storage, EC2 and Lambda computing, VPN networking
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues in a broadcast production environment
• Run performance diagnostics and perform proactive system health checks
• Perform planned and emergency maintenance upgrades of software and equipment
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Media Asset Management (MAM) administration or support experience
• Broadcast ingest & playout systems knowledge
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect certification
• Python programming and other shell scripting experience
• Windows Server (2016/2012) knowledge
• MS-SQL Database knowledge
• Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent major is preferred
• Flexibility to work evenings and infrequent late nights to complete planned maintenance
