Thrillist is seeking a video production coordinator for the editorial video team to join our fast growing team. We’re looking for a coordinator that can step into a fast paced, growing team environment. The position requires adept organizational skills, resourcefulness and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under high-pressure situations.
The Production Coordinator serves as the liaison between multiple internal departments as well as being responsible for ensuring that the rest of the video production team follows the policies of Thrillist Media Group and the video production studio.
The Production Coordinator is responsible for all logistics (ie: gear, crew, locations and releases) for internal and external video production projects. We want someone with a great attitude, plus experience in video production [i.e. studio, field or office coordinating]. The ideal candidate should excel in a team environment, working with producers and management on multiple projects at once and staying organized.
General Responsibilities:
• Assist Line Producer in daily production duties
• Attend field shoots (if called for) and act as company representative
• Generate call sheets, production reports and budgets
• Track and maintain budget and invoices
• Facilitate payment of freelancers and vendors
• Maintain working rolodex of freelance crew for field and studio shoots
• Other duties as assigned based on specialization
Minimum Qualifications:
• College degree related to video and or project management
• 2-4 years production coordinator/management experience
• Knowledge of digital video space, equipment needs and budget
• Strong communication skills
• Troubleshooting problem-solver with a smile
Proven abilities:
• Self-starting video maker across multiple social formats
• Experience creating short form video and or broadcast formats
• DSLR camera experience
• Knowledge of pre-production, production and post-production schedules
• Field or studio experience
