The Human Resources Business Partner role:
Strategic and innovative professional with 5 -8 years of experience. Strong understanding of business and building relationships with senior department heads to improve overall organizational effectiveness. Exceptional communication, problem solving, project management and leadership skills.
Key Functional Areas:
Talent management, employee engagement, organizational planning, conflict & problem solving, career & succession planning, compensation, recruiting and overall accountability for fast paced, high performing client teams.
This role requires close partnership with key cross functional groups of subject matter experts known as our 'HR centers of excellence' to execute our global people strategy and our Ways of Working. The people strategy includes how we hire, on-board, develop, motivate, retain and organize our work
Essential Functions:
Serve in a consultative role to department heads on all Human Resources related issues.
Communicate proactively with clients for solutions and provide daily guidance. Clearly communicates plans for ensuring the alignment between organizational HR initiatives and organizational strategy.
Coaches frontline managers and business unit leaders on HR and business related issues.
Oversees execution of programs, practices, and policies that make the strategic connection between diversity and inclusiveness practices with organizational success
Partners with the Talent Acquisition team on the talent management process, from the job posting to candidate selection through to on-boarding. This includes overseeing internal mobility opportunities. Manages the day-to-day and more complicated employee relations issues
Lead the annual compensation exercise as the key conduit with the business teams.
Assist international employees with global assignments and related immigration and relocation matters.
Establishes programs, policies, and procedures to support the organizational culture.
Serve as a change agent for the organization.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to daily management. Partner with the legal department closely.
Create Induction programs for select Department Heads, as needed.
Lead campus recruitment program for rotational programs for Finance & Technology. This includes managing program, departments and employees through the duration of program and rotational assignments.
Partner with Managers to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Analyze trends and review metrics with Managers to develop solutions and plan accordingly.
Evaluate promotions & salary changes with Managers. Conduct compensation analysis.
Provide guidance, planning and timelines on workforce planning and integrations.
Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the music business and our competition.
This position is located in our New York headquarters.
Travel is primarily local although some overnight travel may be expected
Required Experience:
5-8 years’ experience as an HR generalist.
Working knowledge and expertise of multiple HR disciplines; compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, diversity and inclusion, data analytics/reporting, relocation, and federal & state respective employment laws.
Excellent influencing skills
Project management experience and experience driving programs independently
Interpersonal and communication experience and experience building relationships at all levels of the organization
Education:
Bachelor's degree or 8+ years HR experience . Relevant industry experience is a plus.
