OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY20th Century Fox
One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Manager, Finance sought by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation in Los Angeles, CA to play an essential role in greenlighting of all films for 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000, Fox Searchlight and Fox International Productions. Construct film greenlight financial models comprising all significant talent, distribution and financing deals. Support business affairs attorneys during their negotiations with talent by analyzing possible compensation structures. Build all Fox International Productions P&Ls and provide insights into divisional performance on an ad-hoc basis. Provide support in designing Fox Live Stage Productions (a new division) database and financial models. Assist with maintaining and updating generic film model, annual plan process, strategic initiatives and issue monthly P&L book to senior executives. Prepare pre-release and marketing sign-off P&Ls. Coordinate with financial reporting, operating groups and various executives within 20th Century Fox to gather necessary information. Confirm and update talent and co-financing deals with legal and production accounting. Work on ad hoc projects as necessary. Train junior team members in advanced modeling of Greenlight P&Ls.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field, plus three (3) years of financial accounting and reporting or related financial analysis experience, including developing business models, P&Ls, cash flow models, studio deal analysis, strategy and business development or data analytics.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Quantitative analysis and financial modeling; 2) Knowledge of film ultimate models and the structure of talent participations deals; 3) Working with data in Excel, including utilizing Pivot Tables, V-LookUps, and H-LookUps; 4) Working with conditional and logical Excel formulas, including INDEX/MATCH, MAX/MIN, IF/AND/OR, SUMIFS; 5) Working knowledge of GAAP accounting guidance relating to studio film ultimates; 6) Working on annual and quarterly P&L budget/forecasts; 7) Knowledge of Tableau and SQL; and 8) Experience with data analytics and visualization
