CenturyLink seeks a proactive B2B Creative Manager of Design to lead its team of designers in creating impactful marketing communications. This role creatively and strategically supports key business objectives and manages a team to develop leading-edge communications concepts that elevate the enterprise story. The candidate is a leader, tightly partnering with the Creative Manager of Content, leading the development of strategic integrated marketing campaigns. As a director, the candidate is responsible for overseeing the art-direction and design for a wide range of projects including web, paid media, video, social, collateral, email, etc., championing our designer + writer collaborative model of execution. Because the candidate’s background and experience is in art-direction and design, he/she is able to quickly and creatively problem solve appropriate design solutions for the team when necessary. Qualified candidates must have previous experience within the technology industry, preferably within enterprise solutions as well as management experience.
Job Description
• Plays a leading role in collaboration overseeing asset creation that supports the strategic implementation of the CenturyLink brand and marketing programs.
• Maps out design strategies and leads the development of assets for implementation based on approved messaging and concept testing research.
• Leads and mentors a team of designers ensuring all work supports brand and campaign strategies.
• Is a team player working collaboratively with writers, project managers, brand, campaign managers and the web team.
• Ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders across all levels with internal and external partners.
• Strong understanding of design principles.
• Understanding of web and digital design.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment from concept to deliverable on time.
Qualifications
• BFA in Advertising, Graphic design or similar
• Advertising or Marketing Design/art-direction background a must
• 8+ experience of relevant experience
• Previous experience managing or leading a team is required
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Solid knowledge of integrated marketing principles
• Agency experience a plus
