Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members and Company assets. The Security Supervisor oversees, directs, trains and manages the performance of the Security team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for scheduling and reviewing staffing levels to maintain adequate Security coverage.
• Responsible for guest approaches and investigations involving intoxication, theft or any situation that may arise.
• Responsible for assisting Security Manager with development of staff, evaluations and training for team members.
• Supervises access to restricted areas and monitoring guest and team member passage in and out of the casino.
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• At least two years of experience as a security guard or law enforcement agent is preferred.
• Must obtain Missouri Gaming Commission occupational license.
• Appropriate use of office equipment, including personal computer, telephone with voice mail system, fax machine, and copy machine.
• Appropriate use of security-related equipment, including flashlight, two-way radio, and handcuffs.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports using correct grammar and punctuation.
• Knowledge of internal controls.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Read, write, and understand complex instructions.
• Communicate appropriately with all casino guests, casino departments, and fellow team members.
• Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations.
• Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under frequent time pressures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• The team member is required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch; and talk and hear.
• The team member must lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The team member is exposed to variable temperatures, smoke, and bright flashing lights.
• The team member may be required to perform duties outside in all seasons.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
