Job Description:
This position will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on paid social media campaigns. Working with Supervisors and client strategists, you will assist with campaign management and strategy on our active buys.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• PLANNING (10%)
◦ Assist in developing proposals for paid social media campaigns across active client roster inclusive of budget, platform, targeting, flighting and creative recommendations.
◦ Assist in pre, during and post campaign optimization strategy planning and discussions
• ACTIVATION (60%)
◦ Lead client paid social campaign set-up via self-serve API platforms and native buying tools with oversight from the Supervisor.
◦ Client roster to include a mix of active agency clients, including 4-10 'Low Volume' clients.
◦ Assist in set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign.
◦ Own and maintain active communication with internal client roster teams; to manage administrative and internal set-up, including reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign, with Supervisor direction and oversight.
◦ Optimize and review all live campaigns, across all live social platforms at a minimum of 2x daily
• REPORTING (20%)
◦ Use data during and post-campaign to optimize and draw greater conclusions about clients’ business.
◦ Combine data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives.
◦ Lead the monitoring and reporting of campaign performance and proactively communicate any issues to internal team and client.
• PARTNERSHIPS (5%)
◦ Master all internal buying and reporting tools, including self-serve API interfaces and native tools.
◦ Understand the pros and cons of multiple API platforms, and maintain a line of contact with PMDs looking to enter the self-serve market.
◦ Work with PMD partners to improve dashboard and product to better serve our clients’ goals.
• ADMINISTRATIVE & EDUCATION (5%)
◦ Assist in completing and monitoring regular team and client financial tracking.
◦ Attend Agency learning sessions and partner meetings.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may work closely with junior team members in an education and onboarding capacity, though there are no direct supervision responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills Required
The ideal candidate would have some past exposure to different API platforms, have an affinity for data, and the ability to think on his or her feet.
• 2+ years in Paid Social Media Buying
• Hands-on experience in online advertising environments having managed at least ten paid social buys (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat)
• Strong analytical skills and affinity for data
• Attention to detail, and time management skills to actively monitor campaigns
• Extensive Excel experience
• Strong client-facing voice
• Ability to quickly learn new services and dashboards, and comfortable distilling data into client learnings
Certificates, licenses and registrations
Facebook Blueprint and Twitter Flight School preferred, but not required.
