Description
The Office & Employee Experience Manager keeps Stitcher humming. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, and working with the GM & VP of Product and team members as needed. You'll oversee operations in our SF Office, making sure every employee, new hires, candidates, and every client feels welcomed and generally making it possible for us to provide a great, efficient work environment that supports delivering a great product to Stitcher listeners..
This job is dynamic and ever-changing, with plenty of room for growth. You'll be involved in many aspects of the business, including:
Office Operations
• Greeting visitors and guests with thoughtfulness, quickly alerting staff when they've arrived, and offering water, snacks and other necessities. Providing general support as needed.
• Managing setup and logistics of Stitcher's office; keep our space stocked and productive.
• Handling all shipping, i.e. FedEx, UPS, etc., and Coordinate maintenance with building staff.
• Troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity, printing, etc.
• Processing invoices, expenses, for production freelancers, guests, candidates, etc.
• Coordinating travel for guests, candidates, and new employees.
• Providing general support to Recruiting, Content Ops and Engineering teams.
• Space planning and advising on new facilities structuring, especially as we grow.
• Maintaining the appearance of common areas, conference rooms, kitchen, and storage area to ensure the office is clean and presentable at all times.
• Liaise with IT on troubleshooting stitcher technologies and ordering.
• Liaise with Risk Management on office and employee safety concerns.
• Be the person who has all the Stitcher office answers.
HR & Employee Experience
• Documenting and keeping up to date procedures related to office management, recruiting and people operations
• Assisting recruiters with coordinating scheduling of phone and in-person interviews, and managing candidates experience onsite.
• Assist with planning and management office specific and company events, including company off-sites, training, celebrations and key internal/external meetings
• Be in tune with the office needs; come up with creative and efficient solutions.
• Coordinate team outings and identify opportunities to the enhance overall employee experience.
• Ensuring smooth new hire onboarding, including managing seating assignments, equipment, and system setup, as well as employee orientation.
• Assisting hiring managers in creating new hire onboarding schedules, owning new hire the first-week experience.
You should have:
• A love of podcasting and audio, and a strong interest in helping the medium grow and thrive. We would be happy to hear you aspire to have a long career in this business.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfort with Excel, web-based CRM and project management tools, and content management systems (e.g. WordPress), Slack, google suite, etc.
• Knowledge of and/or prior experience with audio production is a plus.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and manage several projects at once.
