JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President, Billing & Services Assurance is responsible for planning and leading efforts related to ensuring the billing and services delivery accuracy and integrity for residential and small business customers. This role is responsible for all the data analysis needs of the Billing Department. This position will be tasked with analyzing and transforming data to assist in understanding and addressing complex business issues. As part of the role this individual is responsible for identifying opportunities and coordinating with cross functional teams to drive results. Additionally, this individual will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Complimentary Accounts team, which is responsible for managing accounts that have unique characteristics and require dedicated support.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Collaborate to enhance reporting and data access in support of the growing business and operational strategy; identify data discrepancies, issues, integration gaps and opportunities
Defines and implements billing system controls leveraging enterprise product catalogue, system configuration and exception reporting to ensure policy and process compliance with company defined business rules.
Develops, implements and maintains reporting databases to establish trending as a means to detect data leakage/processing fallout.
Complete analytical data needs and complex data requests, reports, and predictive data modeling
Discover patterns and trends in structured and unstructured data
Conducts verification of the introduction of promos, new products and new features to the billing system.
Take ownership from conceptualization to production of the entire development lifecycle of key operational and revenue-centric reports
Audits data uploaded from the billing systems; validates against and reconciles with reports provided by billing systems.
Exercise analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, and developing procedures to resolve problems.
Serves as the local expert for revenue data, research questions for management and conduct ad-hoc investigation.
Support the BSA team in the development and preparation of reports/dashboards/trend analysis to inform management how well the company is transforming services into profits
Analyze and transform data leveraging experience with tools such as SQL Server and Microsoft Access
Extract data from CSG and ICOMS billing systems, provisioning systems, programming systems and other data sources using understanding of database structures
Provide expert advice and education in the usage and interpretation of revenue and expense based reporting and analytics
Responsible for timely production and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting packages
Presents business findings to Senior Leadership team
Promote teamwork and cultivate knowledge and integrity
Performs other duties as requested for supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, detailed data tracing, raw Customer Account (CDR) review
Ability to extract data from data warehousing, SQLs, data conversions.
Extremely comfortable with managements of databases, SQLs queries, data conversions, programs and operational disciplines.
Ability to perform complex data matching processes and data diagnosis across multiple data points/systems.
Experience scoping and troubleshooting systems and sizing organizational problems, has authority to propose changes.
Strong knowledge of MS Access, MS Outlook, MS Word and advanced MS Excel functions required
Knowledge of cable television products and services and cable billing systems ia a plus.
Experience with CSG or ICOMS billing systems is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Master degree in Business Administration or Science in Data Science a plus.
