Job Summary:
We are looking for talented sports sales professionals to join our expanding team in New York. Our team will be leading the charge to market and sell the exceptional benefits of a local sports radio enhanced media campaign. You must be a confident, creative, and proactive thinker and have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
• Seek out new sports categories and customers through exceptional prospecting and closing skills
• Develop opportunities for new business/incremental business by forging meaningful relationships with advertiser and agency decision makers.
• Deliver unique, creative and tactical sports radio-centric sales solutions to meet specific customer needs and challenges
• Manage and nurture relationships with current KSM clients (represented radio stations and teams)
• Manage and nurture relationships with other Katz Media Group sales divisions
• Meet and exceed revenue goals established by management
Specifications:
• Strong broadcast media foundation and understanding of marketing fundamentals
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proven record of relationship building and strategic development with leading agency and advertiser decision makers
• Sophistication shown through articulateness, public speaking and writing skills
• Innate entrepreneurial spirit and natural networking aptitude
• BA/BS Degree required, including at least 5 years of progressive work experience
Work Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience in media sales, marketing or advertising with proven success
Education:
• 4-year college degree in marketing, advertising, business or communications
