Corporate Group Advertising Director, Health
The Opportunity
Hearst Magazines seeks a Corporate Group Advertising Director for a newly created position responsible for ad sales strategy and revenue generation for assigned pharmaceutical accounts across all Hearst Magazines and Hearst Digital Media properties. This position will be an ambassador for the entire Hearst portfolio of brands.
Ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in generating cross-platform advertising sales and must be a digital expert, with significant experience in digital advertising sales. He/she must be a motivated self-starter who is inventive and entrepreneurial in their approach to generating business. Candidate must be able to build collaborative relationships with magazine sales and marketing teams as well as Hearst Media Solutions (HMS) internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:
• Grow revenue across all platforms from pharmaceutical accounts
• Direct corporate sales strategy on assigned pharmaceutical accounts
• Manage one sales planner and provide direction for marketing, media services, and digital account management teams
• Collaborate with Integrated Brand management teams
• Interact with agencies and clients to set strategy and negotiate media contracts
• Build and maintain strong agency and client contacts and relationships
• Provide accurate and timely business estimates, forecasts, paperwork/administration
• Maintain on-going and current education surrounding the latest technology, trading platforms, marketing trends and metrics for success is crucial.
Requirements/Skills/Experience
• Must be an experienced digital media sales professional with proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals and must have minimum of 5+ years of experience; print experience a plus
• Significant experience with the largest advertisers and agencies, with a track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure
• Strong relationships in the digital buying community.
• Be expert in digital content marketing, including branded content, distribution partnerships, social amplification, and emerging trends in the space.
• Deep marketplace knowledge and industry respect
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have highly collaborative style and ability to be resilient and flexible in fast-paced environment
• Account management proficiency from RFP to IO actualization
• Problem solver, roll-up sleeves resourceful, creative, positive spirit
