THE OPPORTUNITY - What positions are we hiring for?
A machine operator in the Packaging Department at Travel Tags will play a key role in the overall production of specialty print gift cards and other promotional print items.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work as a team to meet production goals and produce the best quality product possible in a safe and productive manner
• Be a team player
• Perform machine set up and operation on packaging equipment
• Complete necessary paperwork and data entry in an accurate and timely manner
• Order materials
• Regularly review safety and quality procedures, as well as any other procedures in place
• Perform basic machine maintenance on a regular schedule
• Log and record daily production work sheets and production information and materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
We offer rotating, 12 hour shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am) with every other weekend off!
The rotating shift schedule offers four (4) days worked one week (48 hours - 8 hours of overtime) and three (3) days worked (36 hours) the following week; making seven (7) days worked (84 hours total) in a two week pay period.
REQUIREMENTS
• 1-3 years’ experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
