The Video Editor – Promotions works in concert with Starz Producers and Designers to craft high-quality, impactful short form video content supporting original programs, feature films, documentaries and the company’s products and services. The Video Editor champions Starz’ brand value that competes for attention in the media and entertainment marketplace.
The incumbent to the position has extensive knowledge of both creative and technical quality considerations for delivery of video promotions to broadcast, social platforms, advertising outlets and OTT consumer applications. While led by a Manager of Post Production, the Editor will often interact with executives throughout the organization. An ability to respectfully accept and incorporate feedback from colleagues on creative projects is an absolute must.

We seek a self-driven leader with experience as a producer/editor who inspires his or herself and fellow team members to apply imagination and energy to creative projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must have extensive knowledge of Adobe CC 2018. Specifically, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media
• Encoder and Audition. Knowledge of additional NLEs is beneficial.
• Manages time effectively, meets deadlines and stays in constant communication with project leads regarding progress of assignments.
• Experience with asset management systems to effectively identify best source media for creative assignments and to publish finished content for distribution.
• Mastery of broadcast signal equipment to measure & evaluate video, audio, and metadata content to match outgoing delivery and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate material coming in from third party contributors to ensure compliance with technical delivery requirements.
• The ability to thrive in a change rich environment with high adaptability to technological changes and evolving creative direction.
• This position requires night and/or weekend hours.
Required Skills:
• The qualified candidate possesses and will submit a reel with contemporary samples of relevant creative work.
• At least five recent and contiguous years of employment as a video editor and producer for national advertising agency clients; and/or a nationally distributed broadcast, cable, or streaming content provider.
• Ability to easily transition between projects with hands-on direction from other creatives and those that require self-direction.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Film, Digital Media and/or Television Production preferred.
