Position Summary
The Manager of Media Strategy & Analytics (cross channel) oversees the day-to-day of all cross channel promotion utilizing key performance metrics to optimize across all cross marketing assets. Managing strategists/coordinators of Media Strategy & Analytics, the Manager’s decisions regarding daily/weekly/quarterly media plans are driven by the agreed upon promotion strategies and bridge the gap between the strategic demands and the requirements thereof for flawless execution across platforms.
Functioning as a strategic thinker, the Manager is part of the Media Strategy & Analytics (MSA) department and reports to the Director, Media Strategy & Analytics. Within the MSA department, s/he works closely with colleagues from the retention, acquisition and data/tools disciplines. S/he also interfaces with key contacts from other departments including Marketing, Research, Digital, Commercial Operations, Media Logistics, and IT, among others, to ensure promotion execution is in line with agreed upon strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Work with director to develop and ensure execution of strategic cross promotional plans across all content platforms
2. Provide campaign recommendations for effective use of assets across multiple platforms
3. Oversee optimization of all assets utilizing key performance metrics
4. Lead strategic conversations with internal partners
5. Drive recommendations based on past learnings
6. Analyze holistic campaign effectiveness
7. Lead 1-2 strategists/coordinators in execution of media plans
8. Lead, motivate, inspire, and coach direct reports in order to achieve business goals and address their individual developmental needs.
9. Provide feedback on a regular basis
10. Oversee detailed campaign planning and strategic execution of campaigns
11. Attend necessary meetings and ensure deadlines are met
12. Ensure audience targets finalized, deliverables determined, and work orders assigned
13. Lead development of post analysis for all campaigns ensuring the story is clear with key takeaways and recommendations
14. Oversee maintenance of performance reports to track, monitor, and analyze marketing efforts across all platforms
15. Lead/provide support for ad hoc projects or urgent/last minute requests as necessary
Requirements
• Computer skills including an understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Working knowledge of optimizers, traffic and workflow systems (TiVo, Gabriel, Telmar, Freewheel)
• Strong background using web testing, analytics platforms, ad serving
• Experience working with HTML, CSS, JS, web content systems, visualization systems
• Attention to detail, analytics/problem-solving ability, ability to learn quickly
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills and team leadership abilities
• Strong quantitative data skills and the capacity to understand research information and analytics
• Analytical and creative thinker with a passion for continuous learning/improvement
• Several years relevant experience in Media Strategy within an agency and/or television community
• Candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency when applicable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated, take initiative and have a positive and collaborative demeanor
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively sell- in material to internal and external network partners and other stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure with continuous ability to reprioritize, applying media thinking and “best practice” knowledge to all areas of media planning with minimal guidance
• Understanding of Nielsen ratings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint
• College degree required
• Must have legal right to work in the United States
