OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY20th Century Fox
One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:
The International Theatrical Accounting Manager is responsible for preparation and review of monthly close procedures and financial reporting of International Theatrical Business Units and Home Office activities. The position focuses on account reconciliation and analysis of key Balance Sheet accounts. This position will need to communicate and work closely with international business units to obtain required financial information. The Manager will develop and review work of financial analyst. They will also provide support and analysis to senior management to assist in the decision making process for a variety of important Motion Picture and TV stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly financial upload statements and month end close journal entries
• Financial reporting schedules, footnotes and account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
• Intercompany schedules and charges
• Design templates and reporting schedules for international business units
• Conduct detailed balance sheet reviews of international business units
• Prepare global analysis schedules for senior management
• Manage and develop direct report(s)
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and engage in special projects for management
• Interface with stakeholders to obtain relevant information and create synergies
• Continually review and challenge current processes with an objective to create efficiencies
• Assist in preparation of forecasts and budgets
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance
• 3 to 5 years minimum Corporate Accounting experience, in Studio or Entertainment preferred
• Big 4 or Public Accounting preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate is highly desired
• Excellent general ledger accounting, reconciliation and financial analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Prior staff supervisory skills
• Well-developed communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans
• Able to handle multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
• Familiarity with JDE EnterpriseOne or PeopleSoft is preferred
