The mission of the Bose Developer Relations group is to enable a growing community of innovators, developers and content creators to deliver amazing experiences to our customers. We do this by engaging our community around the world, at key events, in key regions, and online through our portal, workshops and other channels. Representing the needs of our community and partners back to platform teams at Bose, we will make 3rd party integration easier and scalable. Working with outstanding members of our community and with supporting groups at Bose, we will find the best ways to embrace these innovations, showcasing them to our customers and inspiring continued integration and increased value of our platforms.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
As Solutions Manager for our Developer Relations team, you will ensure we are offering the suite of tools, libraries, code samples, documentation and solutions to meet the needs of our community and partners. Through review of experiences in development, and the feedback collected from our developer advocate team, partner managers, and direct from 3rd parties, you’ll coordinate and drive the roadmap and priority of tools with our product managers and engineering teams supporting our platforms. Working to more directly support key partnerships and integrations, you’ll have the opportunity to grow our solutions team, and build a qualified network of agencies capable of serving our platform partners. This central role is charged with establishing best practices for offering tools and solutions that can scale as we cover new platform offerings, identifying opportunities for supporting new domains and verticals, and adapting these strategies based on the growth and interest of our community. Success of this role will be measured by increasing time to launch for our 3rd party integrations, converting those active in developing quality experiences to deploying them, and ultimately in the number of new experiences becoming available to our customers. This role reports to the Developer Relations Lead.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated passion for engaging & enabling those who create and develop software experiences
• Genuine interest in emerging experience technologies including augmented or virtual reality, game development or design, and/or mobile app development
• Familiarity with other developer platforms, their SDKs, code samples and documentation.
• Familiarity with suites of developer tools including IDEs, plug-ins and devices.
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
• Can-do attitude, with ability to react quickly to changing needs
• Ability to build consensus with stakeholders, and confidence to drive accountability with superiors
• Pro-active, problem-solving capability
Education & Experience:
• Developer Relations experience preferred
• Software engineer or developer experience preferred
• Strong background working with APIs and platforms
• Background working with or at 3rd party software development agencies
• 6+ years individual or combined experience as a solutions architect or software product manager
• Demonstrated ability to meet customer needs with SaaS, Cloud, B2B or developer-facing solutions
• Degree in computer science or related experience
