Job Summary

We are seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join the GEMS (Government, Education, Medium, Small) organization. The Commercial Account team helps customers transform and evolve their business using CenturyLink’s global network. As part of an entrepreneurial team, you will be responsible for helping businesses in the SBG (small business group) space to use technology to connect with employees and customers. This position focuses on acquiring new logo accounts in a B2B target market through an aggressive, no nonsense sales approach.
Job Description
• Develop and implement a sales strategy for the market area.
• Weekly business reporting and accurate documentation of sales activity are required.
• Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, & competitors.
• Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer’s business needs, issues, strategies and priorities to deliver a value-adding business solution.
• Manage and develop sales funnel and proactively monitor sales activity against assigned quota.
• Become an expert in the competitive environment and be able to communicate regarding competitive offerings while effectively positioning CenturyLink as the best telecommunications choice for assigned locations.
• Participate in community and industry-related events to further develop the opportunities to procure new business
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, both internal and external. Complete daily activity logs, sales reports, etc.
• Manage mileage and expense reports.
• Consult with customers to gather information and make recommendations for their communication and entertainment needs.
• Receive/resolve complaints and general calls regarding service, billing, payment and other service related issues.
• Sell additional services and products by recognizing opportunities to up-sell; explaining new features.
• Use various computer systems/screens simultaneously to process sales and service orders.
• Consult, multi-task, and problem solve with the customers which includes handling complaints.
• Maintain and improve speed, accuracy and quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
• Associate degree (preferred but not required) or equivalent education with typically 1-2 years’ sales experience.
• Must be able to execute with a high level of service in a challenging and ever-changing environment.
• Must be self-motivated and disciplined and thrive on uncovering customer needs.
• Must possess the energy, determination and service attitude required to translate daily customer interactions into new revenue.
• Must possess the ability to analyze, comprehend, and translate numbers and reporting into actionable plans to meet or exceed monthly revenue quota.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to develop and deliver meaningful and concise presentations to any audience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance coverage and must have appropriate working vehicle for transportation.
