Job Summary
The industry is changing. Marketers demand more than traditional reports; data is integral to strategy. This requires a new type of analyst, one that combines systematic thinking with strategic vision. Horizon Analytics is pioneering the field by introducing a client-centric group, tasked with development and integration of insights.
Senior analysts are expected to be the primary client contact for a business unit. Supported by an analyst, Senior Analysts develop and manage the cadenced reporting across their account. With a proficiency in functional analytics capabilities, their primary goals are streamlining reporting through automation and managing projects end-to-end.
Additional to supporting a client, Senior Analysts are tasked with leading a small team. Their managerial skills will provide the support needed to complete planned reports. As a leader within the analytics team, teaching the next generation of analytics is pivotal to team growth.
Main Responsibilities
• Manage cross-channel measurement plans, cadenced reports, and post campaign analysis
• Collaborate with key internal skate-holders on client needs and strategic imperatives
• Be the analytics point-of-contact for the daily clients
• Educate and socialize the importance of data and analytics within the organization.
• RFP and evaluate outside vendors and partnerships
• Develop client-specific learning agendas and identify best-fit solutions
• Develop cross-channel KPIs and reporting methodologies that match back to campaign and brand goals
• Develop stories with data that help clients identify and solve business needs
• Ability to teach at least one skill to the larger analytics group
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Key behavioral competencies:
◦ Strong analytic skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendation and their forecasted outcomes/implications
◦ Thought leadership on aspects of digital advertising, creative performance, media strategy, and standard media measurement
◦ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey and package technical finding in layman’s terms
• Experience with media data sources (comScore, Milward Brown, Nielsen DAR/TAR/Brand Effects, MRI), third party ad serving platforms (Sizmek, DCM), web analytics (Omniture/Google Analytics), third-party validation (IAS, DoubleVerify), data visualization (Tableau), and attribution solutions (Visual IQ, Adometry)
