The Autodesk Education team is looking for an exceptional Content Producer to join our education team. Reporting directly to the Content Strategy Lead and Learning Experiences Manager, the Content Producer is responsible for producing and maintaining learning content for Autodesk Education. In this role, you’ll be responsible for publishing a high volume of content and updates to owned and third-party platforms, and for overseeing the successful reception of our digital content, such as articles, projects, curricula, lesson plans, assessments, and online courses. The right candidate for this role will be part web publisher, part technical editor, and part project manager. She/he will have an exceptional attention to detail and a passion for both content integrity and user experience. The Content Producer will directly manage the publication of educational content across our digital ecosystem, while troubleshooting platform and technical matters.
Responsibilities
Content Production and Publication
• Edit content (copy, imagery, video) post development to ensure consistency, as well as adherence to editorial standards and brand voice
• Arrange, enter, and publish learning content to each relevant CMS/LMS within our digital ecosystem, accurately and on schedule
• Manage the content production process, from final development to publication, while troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to platform development
• Work closely with the AEX Ecosystem Team to evaluate the technical feasibility of educational content projects, considering the cost of implementation and the anticipated value to customers
• Collaborate with content strategist, content developers, content manager, as well as marketing and product teams to create/curate educational content to enhance our learning ecosystem, for the purposes of increasing course enrollment and engagement, while boosting overall customer satisfaction
• Produce and deliver learning content that’s designed and developed by the Content Development Manager, including online projects, curricula, courses, webinars, articles, blog posts, and other digital assets
• Assist with the management of stakeholders and third-party vendors (agencies, creative services) to produce high-quality digital content—on schedule and within budget
• Optimize metadata and content for SEO during publication to increase discoverability of our content wherever we publish
• Work closely with AEX Content Manager and Marketing teams to organize, package and promote our learning content across channels for our target market
Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of proven digital publishing experience for a large enterprise or publisher
• Superior editorial, user design, and content management skills
• Superior communication and proofreading skills
• Deep knowledge of digital production processes, editorial standards, and best practices for omni-channel publishing
• Demonstrated track record of editing and producing digital content of all kinds for a range of target audiences (educational audiences, in particular)
• Proven vendor-management skills
• Expertise in page layout design, with proven understanding of digital design best practices
• Expertise with web publishing technologies, especially Drupal and Adobe
• Proficient in image and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Proficient in workflow and digital asset management platforms
• Proficient in publishing across Learning Management Systems (e.g., Udemy, Courseara)
• Proficient in Chicago Manual of Style
• Adept in HTML5 and web standards
• Experienced working effectively within collaborative, matrixed work environments
• BA/S or equivalent in related field required – English or Communications
• Masters in publishing or related field preferred
• Passion for educational technology is a plus
