Job Description:
The Global Advertising Operations Manager will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to site ad tech, ad tag troubleshooting, native campaign management, communication with internal and external clients, excellent customer service, excellent organizational skills, exceeding client's performance goals and customer service expectations. This position will support the Dow Jones Media sales teams out of the New York office. This role will include being responsible for site ad tech, including ad tags and ad campaigns and any relevant project management. This is a multi faceted position that requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• The Global Advertising Operations Manager is expected to understand site ad functionality, including knowledge of all ad products available on our site(s)
• Contribute technical knowledge of related systems and an understanding of project management fundamentals, web operations, the online advertising space, and the complexity of technology as it relates to online ads and ad campaign management
• Implementation and management of online advertising campaigns through multiple ad servers and monitor delivery of campaign(s) from beginning to end and optimizing as needed
• Implement third-party tracking such as DFA or Atlas on behalf of agency partners
• Interact with internal as well as external clients including but not limited to coordination and consultation to ensure a successful advertising campaign/all ads on site are correctly deployed
• Perform the day-to-day ad placement, scheduling and updates for customers, including rich media ad placements
• Prepare and edit HTML code used to deliver ad creative (CSS, Javascript, etc)
• Follow-up with immediate action & provide concise, timely feedback within the deadlines established
• Self-manage tasks / schedule for effective and efficient time management
• Taking a proactive lead in understanding potential problem areas and ensuring they are avoided or resolved
• Troubleshooting creative, site tagging and tracking issues that may arise throughout the process
• Identifying process inefficiencies and ways to improve operations workflow
What You Need for this Position:
• 2-3+ Years in a role at an internet publishing company, interactive creative agency or Internet media buyer agency
• Experience with Ad Serving platforms would be a bonus, particularly third-party ad serving tools, such as DoubleClick, DFP, Sizmek, etc
• Highly autonomous, self-directed and independent in both work and learning, with a desire to quickly learn and develop new skills
• Proven customer service experience, with excellent communication skills both internally and externally
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective time management, planning skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in being able to take on new projects or products with little notice or training
• Proven experience as a positive and helpful team member who actively contributes towards their team's common goals
• Familiarity with web inspection tools, such as Fiddler, Charles or Ghostery
