Recruiter
Hanley Wood is currently seeking a Recruiter to join the Human Resources Team. This individual will conduct full life cycle recruiting for all departments in our Media and Metrostudy operating platforms. He/She will report to the Human Resources Manager and handle at least 15 - 20 job openings at any given time. This individual actively work on sourcing, screening, and on-boarding candidates in multiple business areas (including editorial, digital media, accounting/finance, IT, sales, marketing, creative, field research, consulting, and administrative positions) from entry through management level. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Partner with hiring managers to identify current and upcoming needs, develop or refine job descriptions and targeted sources
• Creatively source candidates through networking, employee referrals, industry-specific job boards, colleges and universities, diversity sites and social media
• Screen applicant resumes and coordinate with key players in hiring process to conduct phone and in-person interviews
• Assist hiring managers in candidate assessment, gauge interest, negotiate and close candidates
• Work with hiring managers and internal teams to on-board new hires and provide high-touch experience from acceptance through initial employment period
• Conduct new hire orientations and lead office tours
• Follow up with candidates and new hires to ensure timely completion of application and onboarding materials
• Conduct periodic satisfaction surveys and meetings with new hires throughout their first year to maintain high retention rates
• Support Human Resources team on projects that drive HR value and customer service across the organization
• Represent Hanley Wood at college career fairs, and assist in developing a college recruiting strategy
• Promote the Hanley Wood corporate culture to candidates, new hires, and tenured employees
Qualified Candidates should possess the following:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication or a related field
• 1-3 years full life cycle HR or talent acquisition experience (media/digital agency/creative recruiting experience preferred but not required)
• Experience managing candidate flow through an applicant tracking system preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to build rapport with hiring managers and learn new business areas quickly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to source candidates creatively and network with local area professionals
• Ability to communicate with candidates and follower on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
• Comfort in interacting with all levels of staff and leadership
• Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
• Attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to own the recruiting function while collaborating with a larger HR department on department initiatives
• Travel, as required.
