The Vice President, Media Operations will direct the strategic governance of WWE’s media-based platforms, focused on the protocol and programming of WWE-owned-and-operated and external partner platforms. This includes WWE’s growing OTT digital experience (WWE Network) and all its functional aspects such as metadata assignment, curation and publishing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and implement a vision for the curation and distribution of WWE content across O&O and external social media platforms (e.g. portfolio of branded YouTube verticals, Facebook pages, etc.)
• Lead day-to-day metadata operations for all long- and short-form content to satisfy enterprise-level metadata management requirements
• Oversee workflow mapping for the processing of WWE digital video assets for consumption by users across multiple screens
• Manage relationships with key social media partnerships such as Facebook and YouTube, evaluating new product and feature offerings for WWE to leverage
• Collaborate with internal divisions such as Editorial Content, Production and Data Analytics leads to outline and refine protocol implementation
• Partner with Data Analytics to analyze and interpret consumption and viewership data; identify opportunities for optimization and growth
• Own all asset trafficking, management and curative programming for all forms of WWE video content as well as best practices for VOD and linear distribution
• Implement and enforce relevant policies for key platform-specific functions such as content asset anti-piracy protection, cyber security and compliance with other platform requirements
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in digital/social platform programming or management
• Influential thinker and impeccable communicator of ideas
• Strong passion for emerging media trends and technology, especially video and new social platform products
• Proven track record in managing a heavy, steady volume of content and defining process to support such demands in high quality
• Deep understanding of digital and social media metrics
• Expert presentation skills
• Extraordinary project management capabilities
• Familiarity with OTT media distribution
• Significant experience working with content and video management systems (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
• Working knowledge of topline video production tenets preferred
• Knowledge of WWE TV shows, talent and storylines, a plus
