Job Description
KUSA has an exciting opportunity for a Major Accounts Account Executive - Lead to join our Major Accounts Sales team!
The Major Accounts Executive - Leadwillwork closely with Director of Sales, Major Account Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager in pricing and managing inventory to effectively sell KTVD to all accounts – local, regional and national. This position will also manage all political and advocacy advertising with national rep firm and direct agency accounts, for KTVD.
As part of the Major Accounts Team, this position is also responsible for sales of our digital suite of products including Premion, an industry first one-stop-shop for OTT, to our regional/local and national client base. The Major Accounts Account Executive – Lead will work with the Major Accounts Sales Manager in developing and implementing a strategy to grow revenue shares of agency and digital accounts by creating opportunities to develop new business to achieve quarterly and annual budgets.
In this role, you will:
• Create a strategic business plan with the Major Accounts Sales Manager to meet and exceed all revenue goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis for national/regional and local accounts.
• Plan, develop and execute on a strategy to achieve revenue goals by increasing shares of business for KUSA and KTVD on existing accounts.
• Act as a marketing consultant to national/regional/local accounts utilizing station marketing and merchandising materials in developing marketing plans, co-promotions, and vendor programs.
• Sell station sports, specials and initiatives.
• Work with station support to assure timely handling of pre-empts and makegoods.
• Assist the Major Accounts Sales Manager with special projects as assigned.
• Complete appropriate business activity reports and forecasts as required.
• Network nationally, regionally and locally to stay updated on emerging media sales trends, rates and product solutions.
• Work closely with the Major Accounts Sales Manager to develop and implement incremental revenue opportunities within new and existing advertisers as they relate to all platforms.
• Keep Telerep, our national rep firm informed with pertinent performance information including: rate, ratings, preemptions, special programming and events as well as pertinent research information necessary in selling KTVD.
• Attend and participate in the weekly Sharebuilders rate and inventory meeting.
• Attend and participate in all local and digital sales meetings.
• When necessary be available to travel to see certain national advertisers/agencies.

Requirements
• Television sales/negotiation experience and digital sales experience is a plus.
• Proven sales leader with demonstrated record of sales achievement
• Fluency in the rules and regulations surrounding political for candidates and issue advertisers preferred.
• Ability to think and lead strategically
• Proven and creative problem solver
• Effective driver of integrated revenue
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong presenter and communicator with internal and external customers
• Experience/Proficiency with Wide Orbit Sales, Wide Orbit Traffic, Excel, Word, Medialine and qualitative data.
• College Degree Preferred
