About Us:
Ellation is looking for a highly skilled Creative Operations Manager to join our Creative Services team. Ours is a truly cross-functional 360 creative team - meaning we create design assets for all of Ellation’s products and business units - which includes our premium SVOD products Crunchyroll and VRV, as well as events, eCommerce, games, content marketing, and more.
Location: San Francisco
Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV's passionate communities.
About You:
Are you an operational visionary? Do you have to cross every item off of your to-do list? Are you always looking for ways to improve efficiency? Ideal candidate must have experience in one or more of the following: design studio management, creative project management, film/video production and/or post-production. Equivalent titles or previous roles could be: Executive Producer, Senior Project Manager, Studio Manager.
Must haves:
• 5+ Years experience as a project manager, producer, or studio manager.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills - this position will interface across the entire organization.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent people management skills - will be required to set and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent problem-solver - you must be able to think on your feet and come up with solutions quickly.
• Experience with staff productivity tracking.
• Experience with staff workload forecasting.
• Budget management experience.
• Must have experience with Google Suite - Docs, Sheets, and Slides - these are our primary office tools.
• Must be familiar with standard creative tools like the Adobe CC Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere.
A day in the life of our Creative Services Team:
• Management of day-to-day projects and project flow - including request ingestion, project scoping, and staff work assignments.
• Day-to-day management of the Creative Services budget - manage staffing and outside contractors.
• Management of contractors - onsite and offsite - inclusive of soliciting and booking talent, procuring contracts, and tracking of contractor invoices.
• Will be responsible for creating holistic workflow processes - for the creative team, but ultimately informing the company at large.
• Will interface cross-functionally with all of our stakeholder groups - Marketing, Audience Development, Brand Management, Content Management, Events, International, E-Commerce, and Games teams.
• WIll interface operationally with our HR, Finance, and Legal teams.
• This is a management position - you would have two direct reports - Project Manager, and Post-Production Producer.
Nice to have:
• PMP certification.
• Experience in media and entertainment.
• Experience with branding and brand creative.
• Some ad agency experience.
• An active interest in pop culture, anime, manga, adult animation, fan culture, and video games.
