JOB DESCRIPTION
Your World with Neil Cavuto is looking for a talented and hard-working Associate Producer who can book major newsmakers and help build segments for the 4pm hour on Fox News Channel. As an Associate Producer, the main responsibility is booking top guests in business and politics. Other skills required are researching, writing, and assisting with social media. Some control room experience is helpful but not required. Potential candidates must have the ability to deliver on tasks quickly during breaking news situations under tight deadline pressure. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creatively conceive and select elements such as sound, video clips, lower third banners and quotes to best illustrate segments
• Pitch and produce live shots, guest segments and anchor clips
• Conduct independent research, analyze and interpret domestic, international and political affairs to develop and pitch story ideas to anchor and senior show staff
• Research, identify and book potential guests for stories
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of working in live news is preferred
• Good editorial judgment as well as strong writing skills
• Extensive contacts for guest booking
• The ability to work well in a fast paced and intense atmosphere
• Familiarity with iNews, VIZ and an understanding of building program rundowns
• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, and a willingness to travel when the show goes on the road
• Motivated, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
