Key Responsibilities:
• Coordination and completion of small-scale agile project and overseeing all aspects and agile ceremonies of projects (Scrum and Kanban).
• Working with Squad leads to set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project (in a weekly burnup chart distribution).
• Preparing reports for upper management regarding status of projects.
• Leveraging existing concepts, practices, and procedures while guiding teams to increased productivity and efficiencies.
• Assessing the agile maturity of the team and organization against established best practices, and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for both the team and organization.
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
• Facilitating the completion of work on cost, schedule, quality without coercion, assigning, or dictating work.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Supporting and educating all internal and external partners with regards to effective agile practices.
• Providing all support to the team and department necessary using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example. This often includes, but is not limited to: software requests, new team member onboarding/welcoming, software license management, monthly engagement/effort distribution reporting, and team training tracking.
Required Skills:
• Experience in either a developer or ScrumMaster/Agile Leadership role preferably practicing Scrum or Kanban methodology for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the various agile approaches (ie in Scrum, numerous burndown techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling of bugs, etc)
• JIRA experience more than just ‘basic user’. Should be capable of producing meaningful and insightful reports leveraging JQL queries, triaging system issues, etc.
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Great communication skills both written and oral. Ability to communicate and pivot a message based upon changing audiences and technical abilities.

• Excellent organization skills (Consistent follow-through on assigned or acquired tasking with minimal to no follow-up needed from others to ensure completion) while multi-tasking and being able to switch gears on the spot.
• Ability to pick up on new processes quickly (written or spoken), while not being shy about figuring out who to reach out to for help when needed, and performing with little need for guidance after the first few weeks.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• First or second level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, CSP, PSM I, PSM II)
• Experience playing a Scrum Master or Agile Leadership role for at least 1 year for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
