JOB DESCRIPTION
FX Networks is seeking a Finance coordinator to support the Communications team. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Communications and support the overall department finances to include handling and processing all vendor payments in accordance with all Company control systems and protocols, vendor onboarding, expense authorization and invoice processing. Additional responsibilities will also include historical spending analyses and ongoing tracking and reporting of actual spend, and other ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:
• Input Expense Authorizations (EAs) into the Commitment Authorization System (CAS) based on information supplied by various PR project managers and help move the approval process along by reminding PR employees of EAs in their queue. Track estimated spends vs approved EA and submit timely EA adjustments on an as-needed basis.
• Confirm receipt and authenticity of invoices; scan, code & route all payable billings for approval by FX Management within the workflow system. Track cumulative actual payments on a given project relative to approved EA.
• Contact vendors, freelancers, artist agencies regarding required documentation; submit to various Company portals (primarily Vendor Onboarding) to have all payees set up and cleared for payment via Accounts Payable system or FOX payroll.
• Respond to vendor payment status inquiries.
• Review Finance reports showing over or under spends relative to EA and advise Finance of re-allocations of funds as needed.
• Work with PR and Finance on fiscal year re-forecasting process.
• Prepare and present spending and cost report breakouts for review by FX Management on an as needed/as requested basis.
Qualifications:
• Four-year college degree required, preferably in business administration or related area.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting/finance, business or other relevant experience required.
• Working knowledge of elements, terms and processes of Broadcast Television, Communications, Publicity, Advertising and Events.
• Must have excellent organizational, written and oral skills.
• Basic financial reporting, analytical and statistical skills required.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, as well as fluent working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint & Word.
• Must have the ability to effectively organize, prioritize and execute tasks.
• Must be detail oriented. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.
• Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude to the job, cross functional teams and end users.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and be proactive in resolving issues.
