Product Manager - Monetization
Summary
Yelp’s products are critical to millions of small business owners and over 160,000 paying advertisers, but we’re still in the early days. The US online advertising market is $148B. Yelp’s share is $800M a year and growing fast!
We are looking for a product manager to drive the growth and retention of our advertising business which accounts for over 90% of Yelp’s revenue. You’ll be responsible for building best-in-class advertising products for small-to-medium business owners.
You’ll play a key role in accelerating what is already one of Yelp’s fastest-growing lines of business. You’ll accomplish this by working closely with our self-service business by helping acquire and retain advertisers using our free and paid business owner tools.
The team you will work with is scrappy, nimble, and fun. The culture at Yelp is a unique environment combining the best parts of being at a startup with the stability and resources of a successful public company. You’ll be able make fast decisions in a highly collaborative environment!
What You Will Do:
• Work with our incredible product, design and engineering teams to implement and roll out new paid products and features - examples range from new acquisition or on-boarding flows, new ad targeting or delivery features, or developing entirely new paid products for business owners.
• Have empathy for small business owners, understand how Yelp fits into their day-to-day lives, and channel that feedback into iterating with our design, product and engineering team.
• Communicate roadmaps and feature releases to executive, sales, business marketing, and other stakeholders at Yelp.
• Manage the analyze/build/test/release process end-to-end.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize new features and issues.
We Are Looking For:
• 3+ years experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them. Specifically looking for experience with consumer or SMB-facing products.
• Ability to bring focus: You know what matters the most to make the business successful and you bring a laser focus to your team. You’re resourceful, and you encourage your team to be creative as well.
• Biased toward action: You’re a great collaborator and are constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
