The job:
TIME is looking for a sharp, organized, fastidious editor to oversee our daily health coverage. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of and contacts in the health industry, and can strategize for both print and web audiences.
You will:
• Manage and edit 3 staff reporters
• Conceive, assign, and edit all daily health news coverage and evergreen health content on Time.com from staff writers and freelancers
• Closely monitor health industry news, and have a critical eye for interpreting scientific studies
• Write engaging display copy
• Edit the Time Health daily newsletter
• Assign and edit health pages in the weekly print magazine
• Work with the audience engagement editors to create strategies for expanding the reach of our health coverage
You are:
• Experienced. We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of editing experience and additional experience in health reporting.
• A leader. You should have proven ability to motivate and manage a team of writers.
• Knowledgeable. You should be excited about smart, accurate health reporting, and know what makes a strong health story.
