Senior Creative Manager - Shape Marketing
I. Job Summary
| Major goals and objectives.
This position works on the creation of marketing and promotional design work for the brand including presentations, sell sheets, in-book special sections/advertorials, brochures, mailers, marketing event signage and collateral, comps, look books, direct mail pieces, promotional ads, etc. In addition this person oversees design for digital assets that relate to integrated proposals: banner ads, custom rich media, marketing websites/hub pages and apps, eblasts, online media kits, etc.
In addition, the Senior Creative Manager:
• Contributes to strategic thinking and problem-solving within marketing department.
• Establishes visual branding with senior management and graphic designer
• Explores design formats and new communication technologies that can be employed to produce standout promotional materials and push the brand forward.
• Works closely with the Graphic Designer, Marketing Managers, Senior Management as well as the editorial and digital teams on daily/weekly tasks.
This position performs primarily print design job duties with web design and digital product development capabilities being 20-30% of the projects. The Senior Manager executes all graphic design disciplines from interpretation of assignment, art planning, stock photo research, designing layouts, ordering art and preparing the layout files for pre-press and press production.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Four to six years of professional design experience preferred. Magazine and digital marketing experience a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong design skills including color sense, typography and ability to suit solution to objective.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effectively prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Collaborates well as part of a team.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Web design knowledge (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, HTML, scripting).
