Job Description:
Horizon Media is looking for a rising HR star to join our Talent team in our Los Angeles office! The Talent Associate will support the team in all areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, wellness and more.
This role will play an important part in providing a customized and exceptional candidate and employee experience. The Talent Associate will embody Horizon Media’s Business is Personal philosophy through their collaboration with leadership and internal teams across the agency. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 30% Talent Acquisition
◦ Manage entry level and intern recruitment while ensuring a positive candidate experience
◦ Provide sourcing support to Recruiters as needed
◦ Lead campus recruiting initiatives with various local universities
◦ Maintain job postings and candidate tracking reports
◦ Assist with Social Media content for recruiting purposes
• 30% Talent Development
◦ Assist with onboarding process (onboarding new hires in our system, partnering with hiring managers to customize our new hire’s onboarding, assembling new hire bags and folders, scheduling and conducting new hire orientations)
◦ Manage upkeep of all onboarding documents and supplies needed
◦ Assist with logistics for all learning and development programs
◦ Maintain calendar and reports of attendees
◦ Assist in managing our annual summer intern program
• 20% Benefits and Wellness
◦ Coordinate our various wellness programs, health fairs and other initiatives throughout the year
◦ Assist in answering or escalating employee questions and requests as needed
• 10% Projects and reporting
◦ Support current and upcoming HR projects
◦ Research and provide input into new initiatives
◦ Update and maintain employee data and org charts
◦ Provide weekly and monthly reports as needed (recruiting trends, exit data, etc.)
• 10% Administrative
◦ Provide administrative and logistical support as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will eventually serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the office.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Interest in a career in HR
• An internship in HR or a year of administrative/coordinator experience
• High attention to detail while remaining a master multi-tasker
• Ability to work closely within a team and independently
• Curious and excited to learn
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to handle matters of confidentiality and exercise good judgment
• Proficient and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
