The Fox Internship Program provides mentoring and learning opportunities to help you develop your skills, network with Fox employees, and learn more about what it’s like to work in the entertainment industry.
The media industry is going through a period of immense consumer driven change as OTT and digital access to television increases. The Fox Digital Consumer Group is a strategic business unit within Fox Networks Group (FNG). The group’s focus is developing TV and video-centric products bringing Fox’s content to more consumers in new and exciting ways. First, it will be bringing together and furthering the innovation of Fox’s existing TV Everywhere products including FXNOW, FOX NOW, the Nat Geo TV app and Fox Sports Go. Next, it will be working to develop and bring to market direct to consumer offerings.
In this internship, you will work with other product managers to oversee the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to design to feature launch. You will have the opportunity to:
• Research technology trends, market trends and the competition and present your findings to the team and senior stakeholders
• Define requirements for new product features and collaborate with design to specify the user experience
• Work with developers to plan sprints and guide a feature through development and launch
• Triage production issues and prioritize resolution by the development team
• Analyze product performance and drive insights into the product roadmap
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
You will learn from seasoned product managers how to build, manage and improve premium video applications. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment that moves quickly, is highly collaborative, delivers beautiful apps and is fun!
You will get to build features on one or more of a wide variety of platforms, including web, mobile and living room devices, such as Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku and more.
You will learn how the digital video industry works and understand what it takes to excel in product management in this space.
QUALIFICATIONS
Motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented, able to work independently and remains calm under pressure
• Effective management of multiple tasks simultaneously and under time pressure
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Clear communicator with strong writing skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Diplomacy, ability to work within a team, maturity, strong organizational and follow- through skills, able to handle sensitive and confidential materials in a professional manner
• Advanced computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Photoshop and/or software development skills are a plus
To participate in Fox’s Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
