Endeavor is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to lead the AP process for our Legal division. You will drive a timely payables process, ensuring accurate and prompt payments and reconciliation for vendors that are critical to the operations of our Legal team. Our Legal division supports the Endeavor network, spanning a diverse blend of businesses including talent representation, events, and marketing across sports, entertainment, and fashion with some of the biggest brands and names in the industry.
You should be an enthusiastic accounting professional with great attention to detail. Your technical abilities of managing invoices, tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and closing is matched with your ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, across seniority levels and geographies. You have great communications skills and pro-actively address issues and provide updates with employees and vendors alike.
This position is based in our New York, NY office and will report to directly to the Finance Director, Endeavor.
Responsibilities
• Manage full lifecycle of Accounts Payable process
• Process and pay invoices
• Review invoices for accuracy, verifying with the business to ensure fulfillment of services and payment terms are valid
• Manage vendor accounts, responding to payment inquiries, and flagging potential issues
• Follow Company protocols for approval, including sign offs with supporting documentation
• Liaise with Legal team members, providing updates and consistent communications addressing needs promptly
• Monitor and reconcile customer accounts, including working closely with finance directors, sales executives, client accountants, and event/production accountants
• Reporting of payables status to management
• Perform month-end close, quarterly close, journal entries, and accruals
• Provide information and support as necessary for audits
Qualifications
• 2+ years related accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in SAP a plus
