We are seeking a Production Packer for our Lottery Ticket printing plant. The qualified candidate will be comfortable working 12-hour overnight shifts up to 5-6 nights per week.
Hours/Nights:
Hours 7:30 PM-7:30 AM
Position Summary:
Reports directly to the Production Lead. The primary responsibility of the Packer is to perform assigned tasks in order to produce the desired product and assist in achieving the production goal on the Packaging lines.
Job Functions: Packaging Line
• Send books down the high speed conveyor line at a pace equal to or above the assigned goal.
• Pack product according to customer specifications.
• Keep up with all Packaging lines tasks at expected goal speed.
• Run packaging lines optimal equipment efficiency.
• Remove defective product from the packaging line.
• Ensure QIDs have been removed and forwarded to Rub check station.
• Review and troubleshoot messages on computer screens and inform Production Lead of any ongoing messages or unresolved alerts.
• Periodically inspect product for quality.
• Record product information on specified forms.
• Effectively monitor waste, line Down/Up Time, Game progress and line efficiency.
• Employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motion type activities, such as twisting and lifting
• Effectively communicate with other team members.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Function: Rub-check
• Rub-check personnel should retrieve or process QIDs upon receipt at the rub-check station by rubbing or scratching the required number of tickets to determine the quality of the rub and inspect tickets for defects on Agent Samples and play area of QIDs and extra rub-checks received.
• Employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motion to rub and scan QIDs and Rub checks.
• The rub-check personnel must utilize computer work station to scan in QIDs and verify all channels are recorded in the QA station.
• Notify Sr. Leads and or Production Leads if any quality issues are detected in person and by entering RCIL info into the packaging system.
• Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Function: Stacker
• Pickup up to 35 pound boxes from end of packaging lines and stack on temporary pallet.
• Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel in order to do this job properly.
• Employee is frequently required to perform repetitive twisting and lifting
• Move finished pallets to staging area with pallet jack.
• Assist Production leads and Packaging line personnel in retrieving game supplies.
• Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required
• Wear PPE as required
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Function: Omit Verification
• Omit Verification personnel should retrieve or process Omitted packs upon receipt at the Omit Verification station by scanning barcode.
• Notify Sr. Leads and or Production Leads if any issues arise.
• If good book(s) are scanned at omit verification station notify Production leads immediately.
• Retrieve ITVM cards from omitted packs before discarding packs into bin.
• Assist production lead in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Fill out proper forms and reports.
• Employee is frequently required to perform repetitive twisting and lifting
• Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
