POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for managing and administering various communications functions such as scheduling, tracking, reporting and execution of cross-functional tactics within residential and business Corporate Marketing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience in both the residential and business areas.
• Maintain and publish customer communications marketing calendar, incorporating statement, e-mail, web, direct mail and associated tactics.
• Support execution of marketing tactics for Ad Hoc Communications, Project Management and Operations programs
• Compile, publish, and present data for all lines of business (video, Internet, phone) with tracking of programs against budget and highlighting variations and trends.
• Support teams with creation of presentations, communications plans for marketing initiatives.
• Work with Spectrum cross-functional groups and outside sources for research and compile information to make recommendations for build of communications programs
• Maintain Marketing Communications historical data base
• Proof of materials and update databases for packaging, rates and programming
• Create PO's and track expenses
• Assist with special projects that may be assigned, as well as other administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as requested by Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
• Knowledge of direct marketing strategies, tactics, and processes
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to work well independently, as well as in cross-functional groups
• Ability to use discretion and independent judgement to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to use personal computer and software applications (Outlook and Microsoft Office)
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field and/or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience
• Marketing and/or Advertising experience; 2+ years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
• Knowledge of cable television products and services.
