Job Title
Marketing Mgr - Parents Network
The Marketing Manager manages the day-to-day marketing and promotion activity for Parents and Parents Latina including print, digital, and additional brand assets.
The Marketing Manager reports directly to and works closely with the Group Marketing Director to create, write, and pitch integrated marketing concepts for both the Meredith Parents Network, as well as specific team lead accounts. This role involves a high level of interaction with both internal Meredith colleagues and external vendors. Additionally, the Marketing Manager may be called upon to present integrated marketing concepts internally, and to clients and agency contacts.
Essential Job Functions
70%
Develop integrated presentations and proposals to drive advertising sales for Meredith Parents Network and team lead accounts; work with members of other MDP business units (Interactive, etc.) to develop integrated proposals; participate in sales calls to bring programs and ideas to life for advertisers as needed; execute sold programs
15%
Manage and develop on-going marketing programs and partnerships, and research new opportunities to drive revenue for the Meredith Parents Network; develop and execute client/agency communication strategies and corresponding collateral
10%
Develop category presentations and other collateral
5%
Manage use of MRI Starch and Readex modules, working closely with Meredith Research Solutions
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Five to seven years experience in marketing/promotion department at a major magazine.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional creative writing abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Must have a proven track record for developing sales-driving custom programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Creative problem solving and the ability to find solutions quickly
Able to function independently or in a team environment
Must be self motivated and manage time effectively
