CRM Marketing Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for a tech savvy marketer who will work on the execution of promotional offers across all channels, as well as marketing emails, that drive demand and provide incremental lift to the overall business. This person will need to collaborate with other teams to help execute the day-to-day processes that ensures marketing promotions and emails are set up, tested and deployed flawlessly.
Essential Functions
• Project Manage BN in store and online promotions which include email, web, affiliate, direct mail and bounce back receipt offers. Review promotion details and requests for feasibility and accuracy. Act as the gatekeeper between merchandisers, marketing, legal, customer service, store operations and IT to ensure a streamlined process that all coupons are tested and deployed correctly
• Assist with CRM campaign targeting, workflows, setup and deployment for email, push and other channels within our email service provider and push notification tools
• Resolve technical issues with CRM tools, and collaborate with IT and vendors to track, solve, and generate solutions to prevent future recurrences
• Manage email deliverability for B&N. Own relationship with Return Path and ISPs. Monitor daily reports and alert IT and Marketing teams of any issues. Proactively develop and execute strategies to improve performance. Responsible for ongoing reporting of deliverability, re-engagement, overall list growth, and attrition/unsubscribes
Qualifications
• Experience setting up email campaigns from beginning to end working with an email service provider (ESP)
• Strong understanding of email marketing and/or direct marketing principles, best practices, and KPIs
• Experience working at an ESP, deliverability monitoring service, advertising agency, brand or advertising technology company strongly preferred
• Experience working with Return Path and/or other services and tools a plus
• Proven experience developing and executing strategies to improve email deliverability or alternatively improving the effectiveness of advertising campaigns a plus
• Data-driven individual with strong analytical skills. Excel proficiency required
• Passionate, hard worker with a strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to partner with colleagues across business functions
Position Qualifications:
• 3-5 years’ experience with marketing technologies and vendors (CRM, Email and/or Advertising)
• BA/BS with outstanding academic achievement. Open to all academic fields of study with a preference Marketing/Management, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science)
