The Contractor – Security/Compliance Technical Writer is responsible for having proficient understanding of security and compliance standards in order to ensure that the features and functionalities documented make sense from an operational and security perspective.
This position will require interaction with business and technical teams across SG geographic boundaries. It also requires interaction with project managers, software engineers, business analysts, and testing teams.
Essential Job Functions
• Conduct interviews and demonstrations with various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization to gather required information or procedures.
• Produce and maintain high quality, accurate security documents for internal and external clients that conforms to the Technical Documentation Style Guides.
• Create new security document templates and edits existing templates for department-wide use.
• Work independently or with a team to plan, develop, write, and edit security and compliance guides and any other type of required informational or procedural documents.
• Create Diagrams, Drawings and Charts to Explain Product Usage
Position Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of technical writing experience or 8+ years technical writing experience
Required Experience:
• 5-8+ years of experience in technical writing
• 5+ years of experience with MS Office products
• At least 2 years of gaming/lottery industry experience is a plus
• Experience/familiarity with some or all of the following security/compliance standards is a must:
◦ SSAE18/SOC1 &2 Type I/II
◦ PCI-DSS
◦ NIST 800-53
◦ NIST Cyber Security Framework
◦ OWASP Top 10
◦ CIS
◦ ISO 27001
