Job Description:
The award winning Dow Jones’ in-house Studio unit, is a fast-growing team of energetic writers, content and creative strategists, videographers, designers, photo editors and developers. The work spans a variety of forms -- short- and long-form reported articles, immersive digital experiences, documentary videos, data visualizations, animations and more. This is an on-site (NYC) full-time position. The Dow Jones stable of brands includes: The Wall Street Journal, WSJ. Magazine, MarketWatch, Barron’s, Mansion Global, Moneyish, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee activities of production & Editorial vendors
• Onboard new vendors
• Submit, code, approve invoices
• Manage Purchase Orders
• Maintain relationships with partners/vendors
• Confirm budgets/costs for senior/finance and purchasing management, to ensure the department complies with company policies
• Request resources/equipment for new employees
• Conduct a weekly meeting with team, to ensure the efficiency of business operation
• Solve supplier/vendor needs, and concerns
• Implement recommendations to improve process and procedures
• Support the day-to-day needs of the SVP, Creative & Strategic Operations
• Work in collaboration with Finance, HR and other important teams across the organization
Job Requirements:
• You will be highly organized and familiar with financial and production workflows
• Have extensive contractual and vendor on-boarding experience
• Familiarity with JIRA and SalesForce
• You will have the ability to work well in collaborative environment with designers, writers, developers and producers
• BA or relevant experience
• 4+ years of project management or business management role
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong project/time management and multitasking abilities
• Interests in advertising, marketing, media, social media and branding
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
