JOB SUMMARY
The Charter Product & Strategy organization’s mission is to connect and entertain our customers. Our team innovates, develops, and launches industry-leading Internet, Video, Voice and Mobile services with a focus on simplifying and enhancing the customer experience.
Based in Greenwood Village, CO, the Director of HR for Product & Strategy will drive implementation of people strategies that are aligned with the business’s organizational and employee experience needs. He/she will be a culture champion and influencer, implementing people solutions to support the company’s growth and innovation. The best-fit candidate will partner at all levels of the organization to recruit, motivate and develop highly talented people while supporting the evolution of the organizational structure and culture. The select individual for this role is agile, flexible, and comfortable in a fluid, fast-paced environment and will combine HR mastery and industry knowledge to evaluate and resolve complex HR issues.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a team of HR Business partners
Understand business challenges, plan for short- and long-term people needs, and implement plans
Apply best practices and leverage data to drive continuous improvement and innovation in people operations and manage organizational change
Oversee all aspects of employee relations, ensuring Company policies are administered fairly and consistently
Conduct employee investigations and oversee escalated employee issues, including ethics point reports
Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local, state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA to minimize risk/exposure to the company
Establish local procedures to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory agency requirements
Provide guidance to ensure integrity of performance management and development of employees
Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing and commission reporting
Oversee accurate and timely deployment of Human Resources communications
Participate in enterprise-wide taskforce initiatives
Monitor processes and ensure accurate maintenance of employee files and HRIS database
Review and oversee unemployment and workers compensation claims
Possess comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit programs, and oversee annual enrollment
Participate in budget planning and manage departmental expenses
Perform other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expert knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures

Expert knowledge of staffing and employment practices
Expert knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable law
Strong knowledge of broadband services industry/subscription-based business model
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or organizational behavior or related field
Master’s Degree Preferred
Certifications and/or Licenses
Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred
Related Work Experience
8-10 Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment
5+ years management experience
