Precision Strategies—a leading data, digital, and communications firm—is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead the business development and reputation building of our fast-growing company.
As a firm, we work on the top issues of the day for high-profile corporate, non-profit, political, and social advocacy clients. We are a team of professionals with a diverse set of experiences who bring our expertise to the table to help clients achieve their goals.
We seek a senior marketing professional who possesses excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to think and brainstorm creatively, and the organizational skills necessary to juggle many projects at once. This person should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be inclined to seek out challenges and opportunities.
The company is looking for a senior and experienced leader who will be responsible for managing the agency’s marketing strategy and reputation development.
Responsibilities will include:
• Building and leading the marketing strategy and positioning for our rapidly growing strategic communications firm
• Coordinating with our leadership and creative teams to develop company messaging and marketing materials
• Developing high value strategies, plans and materials for new business opportunities
• Generating a solid new client pipeline and drive revenue growth through outbound efforts
• Identifying specific new client opportunities and develop relationships within target client companies
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis of new and existing markets
• Developing high-level connections to enhance and reinforce Precision’s position as a highly respected member of the agency consulting world
• Enhancing the visibility of Precision’s thought leadership, key people, and company brand
• Understanding our clients’ businesses in such a way that allows you to shape the story around our client service offering and partnerships
• Leveraging data from both the clients’ business, the market and consumers to successfully develop campaigns that resonate among stakeholders across a variety of media platforms and distribution channels
• Partnering closely with counterparts in creative, data, and client facing teams to produce amazing creative work that is rooted in strategy and insights
• Managing processes for industry-related award opportunities
• Researching trends in public relations, public affairs and issue advocacy to discover business development opportunities
• Creating compelling content for the Precision website and other external channels which highlights our work and leadership in the industry
• Developing relationships and partnerships with media and industry bodies that will further enhance the reputation and standing of the firm
Experience and Qualifications
• 5-7 years in a leadership role in marketing, at a public relations or public affairs agency, or other relevant work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative, energetic, detail-oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit
• Exceptional market and copy writing skills
• Experience working with creative teams and creating clear briefs and scopes of work
• Proactive and disciplined self-starter with innate curiosity for learning new things
• High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to build partnerships across the organization
• The ability to effectively prioritize projects and produce results in a fast-changing environment
