Position at Curtis 1000 Inc
Curtis 1000 is seeking a hardworking and motivated individual to join our production team in a Press Operator role. The incumbent will be responsible for operating Heidelberg sheet-fed presses utilizing various paper sizes and colors.
Shift Available
• Thursday – Saturday and alternating Wednesdays; 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Responsibilities Include:
• Read job ticket and follow all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job and determine how to run the job
• Prepare press for operation and direct feeder on required setup and adjustments
• Match the job proof to an accurate sample
• Run jobs following order specifications
• Follow proper procedures for filing and retaining sheets for all jobs
• Follow documented QC procedures; produce quality products that align with job and customer specifications
• Inspect printed materials during production and change controls to correct printing mistakes
• Perform routine operational maintenance and repairs on equipment
Minimum Qualifications:<span
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Knowledge of lithography procedures
• Knowledge of commercial printing procedures
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to read and follow job specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to problem solve technical issues and provide recommendations
• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical Degree in Graphics Arts
