Product Solution Specialist, Product Management leads customer engagement, solution development, sales enablement and business development, with focus on new product launches and other strategic projects related to achieving profitable growth. The position is focused on the chemical industry solution, through domain expertise and knowledge of market trends and specific customer requirements & use cases. A significantly customer-facing role, requiring well-honed presentation and communication skills, in addition to subject matter expertise. Critical to develop and deliver highly professional solution demonstrations and presentations, build early relationships with potential customers, assess their needs, close pre-sales opportunities, and manage external and internal communication.
The position will be expected to manage customer development partners, alpha & beta programs, sales pipeline, pre-sales opportunities and successful new product launch to market with early customer adoption and revenue growth.
• Ability to think structurally about business, employ tools with analytical & problem solving skills, and show strong personal ownership and ability to "get things done" with urgency
• Ability to create constructive relationships with senior management and peers in a matrix organization, and with effective communication skills with internal/external stakeholders
• Ability to rapidly assemble and process large amounts of information; able to break a question/problem into its constituent elements for problem solving
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and team orientation in leading cross functional teams, and effective project management and decision-making skills
• Highly Desired: experience working with the R&D and product development groups in the chemicals industry
• Experience closely interacting with customers/advisory groups, sales & marketing teams to help develop customer development partner program, solution stories and pre-sales opportunities
• Business & technology experience in software/technology companies providing enterprise digital product solutions, and in bringing new products to market
• 5+ year experience in solution sales (application engineer) and business development, with a track record of business/pipeline development and growing new pre-sales opportunities.
• Moderate travel required (40%).
Upon acceptance of this role, the selected internal candidate will be required to sign a Restrictive Covenants Agreement which includes Non-Solicitation, Non-Disclosure and for certain roles a Non-Competition Agreement as a condition of placement into the role.
