Summary:
At Scientific Games, our Animators partner with our Artists, Producers and Game Designers to bring life to our characters, logos, and images used in some of the world’s leading casino games. As a member of our Headsup Studio, you will play a critical role providing the full spectrum of animation creativity for our best in class games.
Position Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborate with Graphic Artist to create and integrate compelling animations.
• Working closely with the Software Engineer, prepare content in formats necessary for integration into the game design.
• Partner with the Game Producer/Designer to insure project deliverables are met.
• Develop and utilize best-practice techniques and work-flows.
• Keep abreast of emerging technology, techniques, trends and styles from both a graphical and industry perspective. Sharing this knowledge in an effective and timely manner.
• Lead and mentor other animators to build internal capabilities with animation techniques.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, related degree or equivalent experience
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in gaming, video, film or related industry including post-production.
• Expert level of competence in one or both After Effects and/or 3D Studio Max.
• Master of one or more 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, modelling, scene setup in Unity, compositing, and rotoscoping.
• Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics, for example rendering, streaming, memory management, performance etc.
• Demonstrable leadership skills.
• Work well in a close-knit team, able to handle the iterative nature of development.
